I attended Fortis College in Columbia, South Carolina.  I majored in dental assisting.

I wanted to get in the dental field because I like helping people and I found teeth fascinating for some reason.

The Fortis education made a difference in my personal life; my sister now has gone back to school because she saw how I was in school and studying and everything so it encouraged her to go back to school.

Graduation…no one knew that I was valedictorian except my mom.  I wanted to surprise everyone, so when they came and they found out they cried.  They were really happy.
