The students that you attend these classes with you cannot help but become friends with; you’re in the same boat, everybody has got the same common goal.

There are people in my paramedic class that I still talk to today, and the first time I met them was in that class.  

Technology has changed in the ways of how much faster we can get information.  When I first was going to EMT school in 2003 we did have cardiac monitors, we still have cardiac monitors but now we can transmit our information to the hospital; there’s a lot more telemedicine coming down the road,

I think I would want people to know that the patient is always the most important thing.  

And we just have to be able to zone out everything else and make sure we’re doing the best thing we can for that person at that time.
