Skilled HVAC Technicians are Critical to Maintain and Repair Today’s Energy Efficient Systems
With advances in technology, heating and air-conditioning systems require professional technicians and mechanics to control the temperature, humidity and total air quality in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
Heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning mechanics and installers - also called technicians - install, maintain, and repair these systems. Since these systems are referred to as HVAC systems, these workers are often called HVAC technicians.
HVAC technicians work in homes, retail establishments, hospitals, office buildings, and factories —anywhere there is climate-control equipment that needs to be installed, repaired, or serviced.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics with much faster than average job growth and numerous expected retirements across the nation, skilled HVAC mechanics and installers should have excellent employment opportunities nationally.
Career opportunities include HVAC equipment suppliers and wholesalers, HVAC installation contractors, building maintenance and climate control firms, residential & industrial service companies, local & municipal government positions, and many more exciting opportunities.
