The economy slowed badly in the last few years and I decided to have a better future for me and my daughter than the non-career jobs I had worked for many years. I needed to get a career foundation for the future. I could do most work in home repair and remodeling so adding technical training was a next step. Also, my friend’s father had retired from a foreman position in the HVACR industry and I had seen over the years that he was able to support his family – so HVAC was on my mind. I searched on the internet for HVAC program information and was connected with the admissions people for FORTIS College who led me from there.

I enjoyed the program and liked getting into the technical training and instruction. The instructors were well able to teach and train at the same time so I feel I was pretty well prepared through the course. I am proud of my achievement, as are my friends and family. I am looking forward to a rewarding career.
